You are invited to attend an upcoming Bioethics Seminar titled

Animal Welfare and Allyship in Canada: Upholding Indigenous Values and Strengthening Collective Action

on 28 March 2022, at 1.00-1:50pm

presented by Dr Sara Dubois, Chief Scientific Officer with the British Columbia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (BC SPCA) and Kukpi7 Judy Wilson, Secretary-Treasurer for the Union of BC Indian Chiefs (UBCIC).

In their discussion, Sara Dubois and Kukpi7 Judy Wilson will speak to some of the dilemmas that arise when animal use and Indigenous values do not align, and the progress and positive change that can be made when Indigenous perspectives are integrated into dialogue and action, demonstrating where animal welfare groups can partner and collaborate with Indigenous peoples.
